How Much?

The model runs have been developing more of a consensus and trending west since yesterday. Although some of the specific details could still change, confidence is increasing in the current forecast. Today is dry with increasing clouds. Some snowflakes could reach central & eastern Long Island anytime after midnight and the southeast corner of CT during the predawn hours. Snow will spread from southeast to northwest across CT between 7 AM and 12 noon Saturday. All of western MA should be snowing by 2 PM. Snow will continue Saturday afternoon into Saturday night and taper to occasional snow showers and flurries toward or after midnight. A few flurries could linger into Sunday morning but clearing will develop during the day. Looks like most areas will see 3"-7" of snow accumulation, however Cape Cod could end up with mostly rain, and there might be some rain mixed in at times on the south fork of Long Island and coastal RI. Highs in the low-mid 30's Saturday. Travel will be impacted Saturday & Saturday night into early Sunday.
