Record Warmth Today

Above: High temps yesterday (2/20/18). Click to enlarge.

If we see enough sunshine today, the all-time high for the month of February could be challenged at BDL!

  1. Morning clouds and areas of fog will give way to developing sunshine again today, except along the coast between New Haven and Groton, where stubborn low clouds and fog will linger.

  2. Records high temperatures likely today reaching the low 70's inland. Record high for BDL is 63 (1930). All time high for month of February is 73 (1985) and could be challenged! The shoreline will have trouble rising much above 55-60. Record high for BDR is 59 (2002).

  3. Back to reality Thursday. Chance for a shower this evening/tonight as a cold front arrives. Temps drop into & through the 40's tonight and into the 30's Thursday. Some mixed precipitation develops (wha wha whatt???) Thursday - especially in the afternoon. Probably mostly sleet with some snow in parts of northern CT/western MA and some rain mixed in toward the coast.
