Two Rounds of Rain

November 5, 2018

A developing area of low pressure in the mid-Atlantic region will track toward the southern New England coast tonight.  Occasional showers will develop across Connecticut between 9 am-noon today, with some on and off showers this afternoon.  There will be some moderate to heavier showers around this evening that will taper down to drizzle & fog tonight.  Average rainfall amounts through this evening will be about 0.25"-0.50" - most of that occurring this evening.  The high today will be lucky to reach 50 degrees, with a light northeast wind at 5-10 mph.

A trough of low pressure moving into the state Tuesday will bring some showers Election Day afternoon, with the chance for a heavier downpour and some thunder - especially during the 2nd half of the afternoon (based on current timing).  Tomorrow will be a little milder with highs around 60.  Wednesday & Thursday look sunny with highs around 60 Wednesday and in the 50's Thursday.
