Record Cold Thanksgiving?

A band of light precipitation is producing light rain and freezing rain in western MA and areas of light rain mostly north of Hartford in CT. This precipitation will be over by noon.
Areas of light rain/showers will redevelop in CT tonight with snow in western MA. The rain will end as a little snow in northern CT during Tuesday morning and could leave a coating of snow.
Wednesday will feature a mix of sun & clouds, with the chance for a scattered rain or snow shower. An Arctic cold front will sweep across the area Wednesday evening.
Thanksgiving day has the potential to be the coldest ever recorded in the Hartford area. It will be sunny, windy & very cold, with daytime temperatures in the teens-low 20's. Northwest wind at 15-25 mph will gust to 30-40 mph, creating wind chills in the single numbers. The current record minimum high temperature for Thanksgiving at BDL is 27 degrees (1989).
