Headlines For Tuesday, January 15

  • Dry weather through Thursday evening

  • A period of snow late Thursday night (after midnight) into Friday morning. Accumulations 1"-4" - lowest near the coast if there is some mixing with rain before ending by midday Friday. This event will impact the Friday morning commute.

  • Snow will develop again during Saturday night. This snow will accumulate, then probably change to mixed precipitation and possibly rain early Sunday. Precipitation will tend to change back to light snow by late Sunday as temperatures drop. Hazardous travel is likely Saturday night/early Sunday. Even if precipitation changes to rain Sunday, there will likely be icy/slippery conditions redeveloping by late in the day/Sunday evening, as temperatures drop.

  • Total Lunar Eclipse occurs Sunday night. Partial begins at 10:34 PM. Total begins at 11:41 PM. Whether or not clouds break in time for this to be visible in Connecticut is debatable. If it's clear enough it will be windy & very cold viewing.

  • Monday will be frigid. Parts of the state may have trouble reaching 10 degrees during the day.
