  • A few flurries or snow showers will arrive in parts of the state this afternoon.  Across most of the state, accumulating snow probably won't occur until toward or after dark.  If the ground coats up before that it will probably be north & west of Hartford - especially toward the CT/MA border.

  • Windy & cold today.  Gusts to 40 mph (compared to 60 mph yesterday).

  • Some flurries or spotty, light snow possible in parts of the state Wednesday afternoon.  Most of the snow falls Wednesday night.

  • Not a lot of moisture with this system, but the snow will be light & fluffy and the "fluff factor" may produce accumulations of 2"-4" by the time it tapers off toward dawn Thursday.

  • We will be on the northern fringe of the cloud band associated with the jet stream flow today & tomorrow.  Dry weather today & Saturday, with partly sunny conditions and highs in the low 40's.

  • Precipitation spreads into the state from west to east toward and after midnight Saturday night.  Rain to the south, with some sleet & freezing rain inland....

  • Temperatures should rise above freezing across most of Connecticut by 10 A.M.

  • Clouds increase Wednesday.  Snow could reach southwestern CT by late afternoon.  May not get going in Hartford until after most of the evening commute ends.
