Latest Headlines


  • Snow accumulation has ended across Connecticut as precipitation has changed to rain, freezing rain, and some sleet to the north.

  • Most places south of I-84 will go over over to plain rain this morning where it hasn't already. Areas of freezing rain will persist near & north of I-84 and the potential still exists for several tenths of an inch of ice to accrete, causing icing-related issues.

  • Temps will turn colder during this afternoon, causing any lingering precipitation to change back to freezing rain & sleet before it ends and any standing water or slush to freeze.

  • A Wind-chill Advisory is up for tonight and Monday morning. Temps will plunge to 0 overnight, with wind-chills dropping to -20 to -25!

  • Should be clear enough to see some or most of the total lunar eclipse tonight but the wind chill will be pushing -20 by that time and temps approaching 0! Partial eclipse begins at 10:34 pm and total eclipse begins at 11:41 pm.
