Dry weather prevails today & tonight.
Snow develops across Connecticut from southwest to northeast between about 9 am-1 pm Tuesday.
Snow accumulates to 1"-3" south of I-84, with some 4" or 5" amounts possible to the north before changing to sleet. All areas of CT likely seeing sleet by 3 pm Tuesday.
A messy Tuesday evening commute is likely with snow on the ground & sleet (& maybe some freezing rain) falling.
The mixed precipitation will change to plain rain through much of the state during Wednesday night as temps rise above 32. Pockets of freezing may linger in the NW hills much of the night.
