We will be on the northern fringe of the cloud band associated with the jet stream flow today & tomorrow. Dry weather today & Saturday, with partly sunny conditions and highs in the low 40's.
Precipitation spreads into the state from west to east toward and after midnight Saturday night. Rain to the south, with some sleet & freezing rain inland. Mix changes to rain by Sunday morning across northern CT & rain tapers by Sunday afternoon. Highs Sunday 45-50.
Strong winds will develop behind this system Sunday night & Monday. West to northwest winds at 20-40 mph Monday could gust over 60 mph in parts of the state, possibly resulting in scattered tree damage and power outages.
